Denise Howarth
I have been the Scheme Manager at Stockwell Lodge for over 30 years, so it has become a very special part of my life. Over the years I have got to know many of our tenants and their families, and I take great pride in looking after the people who live here and making sure that Stockwell Lodge feels like a friendly and welcoming place to live. Having lived on site for many years and raised my own family here, Stockwell Lodge really does feel like home to me. I have even had members of my own family live here, which makes my connection with the Lodge even more special.
One of the things I enjoy most about my role is spending time with the tenants and organising outings and activities. The Christmas trip to Chatsworth Hall is always a particular favourite and something we all look forward to. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog. After more than 30 years at Stockwell Lodge, I have made many happy memories and friendships here, and I hope to continue making a difference to the lives of the people who call Stockwell Lodge home.
Handyman
Daniel Kisby
I have always enjoyed DIY, gardening and building projects, from creating ponds and waterfalls to pergolas, patios and summer houses. I also enjoy maintaining my motorbike in my spare time.
I worked as a qualified printer for around 25 years, including at the Yorkshire Post and other major publishers, until the printing industry began to decline. I then spent two years working as a self-employed gardener, which allowed me to continue doing something I really enjoyed.
My partner who worked for Greendown Trust at Dyneley House and had always spoken very highly of the organisation. So, when the opportunity came up to join Greendown as a handyman, I was very interested and was delighted when I was offered the position.
More than three years later, I am still here and thoroughly enjoying my job. I particularly enjoy meeting and helping the tenants and working alongside such a wonderful team of staff. The job satisfaction is second to none, and I’m very proud to be part of the Greendown Trust team.
