Introduction

 

Dyneley House was originally set up to provide care and support specifically to members of the Christian Science Church. However this has now been extended to include other like-minded people over the age of 65.

 

The home aims to provide its residents with the highest quality of care possible in a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.

Our organisation centre’s upon the rights, wishes and aspirations of all our residents and it is our policy to ensure that the services we provide are responsive to their needs and wishes.

 

Accommodation

 

The home is set in mature well tendered gardens, and is situated in a suburb of Leeds, close to local shops and restaurants.

  • There are twenty two single rooms and one double room all with an en-suite facility.

  • There is a large spacious lounge, dining room and 2 conservatories overlooking a very pleasant garden with a patio area.

  • Telephone points are available in all rooms

  • Weekly hairdressing facilities

  • Daily laundry and ironing service

The Home does not permit smoking or drinking of alcohol.

 

Catering

 

Our qualified catering staff provide traditional home cooked food using only the freshest local ingredients. They are experienced in catering for special dietary requirements and offer a wide choice of nutritious food.

 

Care

 

We pride ourselves on high standards of care and therefore invest heavily in training and developing our staff. Our care team comprises of an experienced qualified home manager supported by team leaders and carers all with proven experience and qualifications in providing the highest standards of care possible.

Staff are trained, supervised and supported to promote people’s human rights, privacy, dignity and independence and how to promote wellbeing.

 

Activities

 

The home policy on “Therapeutic Activities” takes into account the residents interests, skills, experiences, personalities and medical condition. The home offers a wide range of activities designed to encourage the resident to keep mobile, and most importantly take an interest in life. The home owns its own minibus for outings, shopping and associated trips.

The quality of life for Dad has improved dramatically year on year and he now enjoys the freedom to go out and maintain independent living, whilst being care for in a supportive environment.
