Welcome to Greendown Trust

Greendown Trust is a registered charity and a non-profit making organisation originally founded in 1971.

We provide residential care and sheltered housing accommodation primarily for elderly Christian Scientists or like-minded people. Our organisation centres upon the rights, wishes and aspirations of all our residents and tenants and it is our policy to ensure that the services we provide are responsive to their needs and wishes.

The organisation aims to provide the freedom for Christian Scientists to pursue spiritual healing whilst having regard to the framework of current health legislation.

The organisation believes that having the highest-quality care and accommodation is an absolute right of every resident and tenant. The continuing aim of the organisation is to provide a professional and efficient service to meet everyone’s needs and requirements.

The Trust has two Sheltered Housing Schemes, Valley Lodge Ilkley and Stockwell Lodge Knaresborough both have been operating since 1977. Our Residential Care Home Dyneley House Leeds has been operating since 1986.
